During this course, students will dive into the fascinating world of marquetry with a focus on fretsaw techniques and mastering the fundamentals of the Boulle technique - the art of creating decorative designs through inlays and patterns on the surface of furniture or other objects, using a high level of detail and precision.

Gluggle Jugs
Join us for a one-of-a-kind coiling workshop where you’ll create your very own gluggle jug, a functional piece with personality!

Whether you're inspired by the curves of a koi, the grin of a whale, or your own unique twist, this is your chance to bring a splashy, sculptural creation to life.
You’ll learn how to build a coiled form up to 25cm tall, shape it with character, and add those all-important design details that make gluggle jugs so irresistibly charming (and gluggly!). Bring along some reference photos — we recommend fish or whales, but any sea creature that inspires you is welcome!

Raku Workshops – Book Now!
A fiery favourite returns… smoky, and spectacular! It’s a hands-on, fast-paced experience where the fire does half the talking!

Get ready for an afternoon of crackle, flame, and smoky magic as we dive into the thrilling world of Raku firing. Whether you're bringing your own bisque-fired pots or using ones made specially for you, this dramatic process never fails to surprise and delight.
We will explore a range of firing types, including classic glazes, naked Raku (with hair and feathers), and Obvara. Each brings its own unique textures, colours, and unpredictable beauty, perfect for curious makers and ceramic thrill-seekers alike.
Expect plenty of flame, fast cooling, and those signature Raku effects, from metallic flashes to smoky black crackles.

Throwing Miniatures

Small wheels, tiny pots, big fun!
You’ll learn to centre, shape, and finesse on mini wheels, it’s all about precision, patience, and play.
Each participant can keep up to 6 tiny pots, and we’ll even show you how to add mini handles if you’d like to turn them into teacups, vases, or jugs. To finish off, you’ll decorate your pieces with underglaze colour right there on the day.

Kid’s Handbuilding Party
Host a special clay-filled celebration where kids can get hands-on with pottery in a fun, relaxed studio setting.

Creative fun for little makers, animals, bowls, and big imaginations!
These handbuilding parties are perfect for birthdays or creative get-togethers, with projects designed to engage and inspire. We’ll usually make a small animal sculpture and either a matching bowl or dish for it to sit in, or a pen pot holder with animal decorations, but if your child has something specific in mind, just let me know and we’ll plan around it!

All pottery pieces are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe (unless otherwise stated), so your finished creations are not just beautiful, they’re practical too!
