Discover something new with our guest artist workshops! Each session is a chance to learn from talented visiting makers and explore their unique techniques. Whether you’re curious about a new skill, looking for inspiration, or just want to enjoy a creative day out, these workshops offer a welcoming space to experiment and create something special to take home.

Sculpting Days with Alison Pink

  • Join Heather for a calming and creative day working with porcelain. In this hands-on course, you’ll explore the unique qualities of this beautiful clay while learning techniques to shape and refine your pieces. With gentle guidance and plenty of encouragement, you'll discover how to handle porcelain with confidence and care. Perfect for curious beginners or those looking to expand their skills and you’ll get to keep 4–5 of your favourite creations

Marquetry with Audrey Fasquelle

Join Audrey Fasquelle, recognised as a master craft person in 2024, for a unique introduction to the art of decorative wood inlay. Instagram: @audreyfasquelle

  • Spend a day learning marquetry with master craftswoman Audrey, who has been perfecting her skills for over 10 years. This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through using a fretsaw and the basics of the traditional Boulle technique as you create a set of beautifully inlaid coasters to take home. Perfect for anyone curious to try marquetry for the first time, this session is a fun, hands-on introduction — and a great way to prepare for our longer courses where you can go on to design and make your own pieces.

Paint and Sip with Andrea Martin

Andrea is a Hampshire-based artist whose vibrant work celebrates animals, nature, and imagination. Working in pen, ink, oils, and pastels, she captures fine detail with warmth and curiosity. Her art invites viewers to see the natural world with fresh eyes and a sense of wonder. Instagram: @theartzoo

  • The evening will cover a guided tutorial, materials and use of aprons during the session,  (Recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy, acrylic paint is permanent once dried). The best bit is you get to take your painting home with you at the end.

    No experience needed!

  • You will be welcomed with Tea and coffee or please feel free to bring refreshments of your choice.

Curio Medallions with Tracy Ashcroft

Join Tracy, a mixed media artist, specialising in handmade curios and stoneware pottery with a quirky, vibe.

  • Tracy creates and sell unique, handmade items described as "Medallion Curios." These include small, whimsical items such as jewellery, decorative objects, or vintage-inspired pieces which are displayed on small picture frames.

    This workshop is an opportunity for you to make your own curios pieces. These medallions can become fridge magnets, pendants, or keyrings, its up to you.

  • All equipment, tools, and materials are provided.

    Feel free to bring along any extras you wish to add to your creations, such as beads, feathers and chains.

    Please note we use a small amount of resin. We provide protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Meet Helen, a Sussex-based crafter passionate about creating stunning crepe paper flowers. Using high-quality German and Italian paper, she carefully shapes and colours each piece, drawing inspiration from her local surroundings and nature. Instagram: indigomole
