Guest Artist Terms & Conditions
To keep the studio a welcoming, professional, and respectful space for everyone, please note the following:
Respect student work – Please do not touch, move, or alter any student pieces unless invited to do so.
Breakages – Any damage to equipment, tools, or student work must be paid for.
Studio fees –
For non-pottery artists, the studio fee is £60 for 4 hours or £100 for 8 hours, including one space for a non-paying staff member.
Time includes set-up and clear-down.
For pottery artists, pricing is variable depending on equipment use and firings – please contact Fae to discuss details.
Payments –
Payments can be made through the Pottery Lodge website; please note there is a 1.5% + 20p transaction fee.
Alternatively, you may take payments directly from your customers if you prefer.
Payment for renting studio space is due when advertising goes on the Pottery Lodge website, unless otherwise agreed with Fae.
Course information –
Before advertising, all course details must be provided, including:Course title and description
Times and dates
Price per person
Number of participants (and the minimum required for the course to run)
Any additional health and safety information you’d like included
Cancellations –
Studio fees are non-refundable, but dates can be exchanged up to two weeks before the workshop.Marketing and photography –
Photos taken by Pottery Lodge staff may be used for social media and marketing purposes. Please let us know in advance if you or your students prefer not to appear in images.
Guest artists are also asked to credit or tag Pottery Lodge in any media using images taken in the studio.Equipment and materials –
Guest artists are responsible for providing their own materials and tools unless otherwise agreed. Any use of Pottery Lodge equipment must be discussed in advance.Storage –
Storage of materials or work between sessions is by prior agreement only. Pottery Lodge cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.Insurance & staffing –
Pottery Lodge’s insurance only covers the studio when a member of staff is present. Please reserve one space on your course for a Pottery Lodge staff member. They will assist during the session, make teas and coffees halfway through, provide extra support if needed, and take photos for future advertising.Liability –
Pottery Lodge is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property. Guest artists must ensure their own insurance covers teaching activities.Shared space – Please tidy your area and leave it as you found it.
Health & safety – Follow all studio safety guidance and report any issues immediately.
Studio times – Work only during agreed hours and be considerate of ongoing classes.
